Trust me, I’ve walked the tightrope between being underestimated and being ‘too much.’ Judged, ignored, dismissed, envied, loved, appreciated, supported—I’ve seen it all. But through it all, I’ve always known my worth, even when I struggled to embrace it. Every decision I’ve made, even the messy ones (and trust, some of them were a hot mess), led me to this moment: confident, unapologetic, and owning my life on my terms. You matter and you are deserving of everything life has to offer. This post is all about channeling that inner powerhouse, owning your narrative, and turning heads while doing it.

When I made the decision to open up and put my life on display over a decade ago, my goal was empowerment. I’d always felt judged, misunderstood, and underestimated. Sharing my journey became an opportunity to refine, reinvent, and embrace who I truly am—on my terms.

I was never ordinary—let’s get that straight (I was never that either). In high school, feeling out of place as many do in that era of life, I developed a mantra to help me cope. 'I’m the Kim K of PA (Pennsylvania).’ Kim Kardashian is one of my favorite celebrities if y’all didn’t know that by now. That line became such a major part of my inner-monologue back in 2008 when I watched Kim rise above the judgment, the gossip, and the endless opinions about who she should be or what she would become. She stayed true to herself—unapologetically. I saw myself in her resilience and her ability to make waves simply by existing. But here’s the key: perception is everything when it comes to self-worth. And the most important thing? Learning about yourself. It’s fine to be inspired by someone, but never compare. Your story, your sparkle, your essence? It’s yours alone.

For way too long without realizing it, I let the world dictate my worth. I compared where I was—or let’s be real, where I wasn’t—to everyone else’s expectations. It was like living in a constant shadow of who I should be, and for a minute, I let that define my happiness. I even started exaggerating and fabricating situations (a bit on the delusional side) trying to cover up the embarrassment of feeling stuck because who wants to admit they’re not where they thought they'd be?

Voices of judgment and opinions circled my everyday life. Add in drama that’s always lurking (because, of course, there’s always drama), and it’s no wonder I started questioning my worth. It was easy to think I wasn’t worthy of what my heart wanted. But I wasn’t having it. This is my show. The cameras came to see me, not any of them.

I wasn’t about to stay lost, overwhelmed, and frankly, tired of being unheard. So, I did the work. I regrouped, took long breaks when needed, redefined my goals, reinvented myself (again and again, because why not?), and got back to what felt right for me--that too can change with time as it should because it comes with growing as a person.

Did I fail? Duh. But I didn’t stay down. I kept pushing, kept evolving, because there’s no other option—the show must go on. And now I trust myself—even when the process gets messy or seems to be going nowhere. I have faith in my higher power and that helps me out a lot as well. This journey is still unfolding, but for the first time, I’m truly listening to myself—and that, darling, is where my power lies.

Your power is in your authentic self. We’re conditioned to fit molds, to keep up with the next person. But if you want to find who you truly are, sometimes you’ve got to ruffle some feathers, get off the track, and make bold decisions that go against everything you’ve been taught.

What’s next is protecting your peace—especially when you’re going against everything you’ve been told. Trust me, the noise gets deafening. And take it from me: don’t make the same mistake I did. I thought popping a Xanax would fix my flaws and quiet the chaos. Spoiler alert—it didn’t.

Since I started documenting my experiences every word I wrote, every post I shared, every photo I posed for—they were all snapshots of who I was at that time, even if some of it was staged to hide how insecure and lost I truly was. It grabbed attention. People loved who I was becoming. For a while, I did too. But somewhere in the chaos, I lost myself. The noise got too loud, and I gave in.

I became someone I barely recognized—chasing likes, feeding off any attention I could get, and clapping back at negativity just to prove a point. Behind the scenes was a whole circus. Fights, drama, real-life struggles—everything spiraled while I buried the one thing that mattered most: my peace.

I let people who didn’t or ever will value me make me question my worth. And worse, I pushed away those who truly saw my value because I wasn’t aligned with my true self. My purpose got buried under the pressure to prove I belonged.

But that era is closed. I’ve learned my lesson, and it’s one I’ll never forget.

Sure, some of the things I shared, wrote, and posted make me cringe. But delete it? Never. Why? Because I finally get it. No shame here. I’ve grown, evolved, and that’s what matters most. This is MY journey. I own every moment, every word—even the messy ones. I see now why I took the path I did, and I’m proud of every step.

When I made the decision to open up and put my life on display over a decade ago, my goal was empowerment. I’d always felt judged, misunderstood, and underestimated. Sharing my journey became an opportunity to refine, reinvent, and embrace who I truly am—on my terms. I didn’t know what would happen, but I was excited, especially when people started noticing. Some responded with love, others with judgment, but both gave me a sense of validation. At the same time, I felt exposed because everything that inspired my goal was suddenly magnified.

The irony was still figuring myself out while thinking I had it all together and that was my biggest downfall. My intent came from a place of self-care, but in the process, I was careless with myself. And yet, looking back now, even with the setbacks, the growth I’ve experienced is undeniable. Reflecting on the journey is its own reward because I realize now that I accomplished exactly what I set out to do—even if I didn’t fully understand the “how” at the time. Risks pay off when you trust yourself, even when others don’t. Being unapologetic and resilient in your goals? Non-negotiable.

Resilience is in my DNA. I’m the queen of comebacks so don't count me out...like ever. The bounce-back is always greater than the setback. Life isn’t about staying stuck—it’s meant to be lived. Your past doesn’t define your future, so if something no longer serves you, let it go. Rewrite your script, redefine who you want to be, and claim your worth. Your value is yours to own. No one can take it from you.

You’re the star of your life, so step into the spotlight and own it.

Self-worth is a journey, and YOU are the one writing the script. People will talk—let them. Drama will swirl, but it’s all part of the show you’re giving them, right? You’re the drama and the redemption, the villain and the hero, the heartbreaker and the heartbroken. That’s the beauty of it—you’re the main character, and it comes with the platform.

You’re allowed to make mistakes, rise, fail, and succeed. Own it. Let your energy shine brighter than ever. Live unapologetically. Keep dazzling, making bold moves, learning from your mistakes, and staying fierce. Keep your faith. Keep that shine and be kind. This is YOUR script—so write it like the icon you are. You’re worth a happily-ever-after, and it’s yours to create. Why not make it legendary? - xo

I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I loved creating it. Those people made me feel, and those emotions I felt weren’t positive, so my subconscious mind, in some odd way, recorded those feelings which would turn into thoughts I would speak to myself about myself. For so long I’ve felt in a sense deep down I had to prove something to make myself feel better. I never really cared much about how people would associate their thoughts when it came to me yet still those words found their home inside me. It led to much anxiety that brought so much pressure where it would always hold me back and when I didn’t hold back that anxiety would make the experience unpleasant. Girl, I don’t have time for that anymore—like I’m done and done with the people who try to make it come back with their nonsense—and I knew something needed to be done to make space for my authentic voice so I can live my happiest life doing what I love to do. Here are 5 steps I’m taking for a healthier self-talk and if you want to improve your inner monologue, I hope this helps.

It’s your thoughts that shape you and your life so make sure it’s actually you talking not the noise from the people behind the flashing cameras. *Muah*

1. Acknowledging my words then replacing the negative ones

This is important because if you aren’t aware of your words how can you replace them with better ones that actually describe who you are. Acknowledge how you’re speaking to others and yourself. For example, “I can’t do that.” Instead say, “I’m going to try and if it works out, great, if not I’ll take what I can from it and let go moving forward to something new.” This step is huge. It can be anything so pay attention to your words and edit the sentence to a positive tone that fits where you’re at. If your mind is racing with thoughts, slow down, take a breath and refresh.

This is teaching me to be more confident in my choices and allowing myself to retrain my mind with better words that add better feelings.

2. Embracing my imperfections and mistakes

As humans, God—or whomever your higher power is—never intended for us to be perfect and anyone who feels they are in my opinion has something wrong with their psychology. We must learn to love what we were given, aging gracefully and working towards things we would like. Like I said before we weren’t meant to be perfect. When I look at myself and I’m having an off-day where I feel insecure about something I take a moment by silencing my mind and closing my eyes. I don’t stop until I balance out my thoughts regarding my insecurities and once I’m back to a normal state of mind all is fine.
We’ve all made mistakes, said things we didn’t mean, did stuff we wonder why we did and when I think of things I’ve done wrong or said not in a nice way I think if I didn’t mess up I wouldn’t have learned. That lesson helped me become a better person and make better choices for myself no matter how many times it may have taken eventually I learned and for that I’m grateful.

This is teaching me to not be so hard on myself.

3. Doing things in silence

Over the last year or so I became more reserved. I’ve learned the hard way not everyone —even those you thought loved you or had your back—has the best intentions and won’t be happy when you’re happy doing your thing and you know, that’s okay. People are allowed to feel whatever way they want as you are too. So instead of giving people or anyone an opportunity to try to take my happiness by feeling entitled to be nasty I enjoy it first before I even share, if I decide, because at least then I was able to experience it for myself and gain all I needed from it. My life isn’t a sport and it’s not a competition nor am I a competitor so I do in my own speed what needs to be done. Also, I don’t believe in living life in silence because that becomes depressing and we were born to make noise but there is a healthy medium to live silently while sharing with others.

It has improved how I speak to myself about my goals, honoring my wins and failures and allowing me to find the right opportunities I would like to take or have presented to me.

4. Asking myself questions and waiting for the answers to show themselves

I never felt I needed validation from others, others just felt they needed to validate me so this is something I’ve always done. If I need a sign that I’m making the right choice, on the right path, or if I’m stuck or feeling down I ask whatever it may be that I need to ask. The answer isn’t always immediate, but when it comes, I know it truly feels fantastic when it does.
This is teaching me to have better patience with myself and my emotions.

5. Surrounding myself with better people so I could have better experiences

This step is huge because the people you have by your side are the ones that share their lives with you as you do them. Having people who bring joy, peace and laughter along with honesty and authenticity will enlighten your burdens, bring forth your best qualities and strengths allowing you to thrive. Supporting each other no matter what.

This is teaching me to be more aware with who I’m spending my time with, who I choose to actually socialize with outside of social media and who I allow into my energy field as it’s important for my mental health and self-talk because the people you are around the most their words will somehow find you when you least expect it—make sure their good people.

In my opinion this isn’t finished once you’re done taking the steps and there are so much more to be taken. I feel once you’ve gotten the groundwork down it will be easier but it’s something you have to always have in your mind and be aware of to protect yourself from those who want to bring negativity to you and your life. Here’s something I always think—and it’s made perfect sense to me and has helped when I’m faced with not-so-nice situations—those individuals who are bringing negativity into your life by treating you poorly, judging, putting you down or in some way trying to question your very existence are your paparazzi and their words are the magazine headlines…don’t buy what they’re selling to you, especially when it’s about you—consider their sources. The most important conversation to pay attention to is the one you have with yourself. I don’t know how. I don’t know who. But the reality here is, it happened and has brought Facebook to disable my profile and a suspension on my instagram due to my accounts being connected.

I’ve pulled a lot of efforts out and I am waiting on responses. The hard reality is, I may never hear back but I also won’t sit back and do nothing. Time to move on. I am writing this post because it’s not something I want to wait to tell you guys. I want everything out there…but I am not mad nor am I shocked. It wasn’t personal. I am annoyed with Facebook and Instagram though and I will never use their platforms the same again.

Okay back to the main point

It feels like a clean slate for me. I have clearer direction after the experience and battles I’ve faced which makes it easier to communicate my message more so now then ever before. Some may think social media was my selling point when it never was about that. My blog is my safe space, my selling point and my career hub. And I own this. It’s all mine.

I had over 20,000 followers on instagram. And yes, it’s not that important and that doesn’t sound like a lot compared to the bigger picture but for a guy from good ole Scranton it was a win and something I am still proud that I was able to accomplish. I don’t value myself based on my social media stats but the truth is it became a role, one of which I played well.

Even though I showed my real life and the moments I live which keeps me connected to people I personally know and those from afar. There were times I would catch myself saying, “wait this isn’t what they want to see,” so I never shared it but if I was being true to myself I would have shared it regardless because it is me being ME. It became more of a project rather than what I always intended it to be. It feels like being seen but never truly seen at the same time. I mean I won’t ever stop sharing the way I do and I won’t change who I am but in the meantime I am going to take this experience and truly embrace the positive side effects of it because all the signs are appearing to me.

While things get sorted out I am going to keep doing what I do best but one thing I will never do again? Put the amount of time and attention I did to my social media. All of those efforts are going back to my blog and other things. Everything happens for a reason and I am excited to see what new adventures are yet to come.

All the love. Enjoy your weekend,
Paul

Current: Social Media Profiles

https://www.paultravis.net/a-lifestyle-created-from-being-too-sassy/current-social-media-profiles

https://www.paultravis.net/a-lifestyle-created-from-being-too-sassy/current-social-media-profiles#comments

Uncategorized

As of current my social media profiles are enduring drama as a result of a hacker/compromised account. As I sat in front of this blank document, well, let me rephrase, as I was laying in bed thinking of what to write my ideas began to flow so now I’m sitting in front of this document writing as I type. It’s almost midnight which means it’s going to be a long night for me. I learned my lesson on not to promise a set of posts because I assumed I would have them all written but I don’t. Please forgive me…ha-ha! My head is in so many different directions that it’s time for me to tie down and focus on my BOOKS but part of me can’t abandon my blog…like ever! I made a list below of a FEW situations I encountered—because I’ve encountered a lot—that showed me the true colors of people (which is helping me write a serious juicy memoir LOL) and each situation will share my reaction in a shortened version on how I behaved along with my thoughts.

In high school an upperclassmen decided to tell people I was gay because I refused to have sex with him. That was the lowest point for me mentally because I was struggling so bad with dealing with the fear of it. I became consumed with fear and I almost tried to end my life at 17 because of it—that is one regret I have that I allowed someone to bring me to that point. Someone who wasn’t even important to me. I wasn’t ready for people to know or to give that piece of my innocence away because truthfully I wanted to wait for the right guy to share that special moment with which I did when I started to date my boyfriend in 2013. So, I just embraced and found courage in facing what happened head on. Year 2009. I was a junior, the guy was a year older.

When I worked at a grocery store a man from a different department was talking harsh about me being a gay guy to other workers like it was some big scandal, shocker, me being mixed in with something scandalous, whatever. When I found out the store had barely anyone inside I basically confronted him loudly from across the room. He didn’t like what he heard. He came marching up to me trying to tell me to never do that again and I said, “Don’t you ever say anything about me again.” He got into trouble, not me, by upper management. I was 18, he was in his 50’s. Year 2010.

When I attended trade school, a woman in her late 30’s was gossiping about me and my friends while we were right there. I overheard her. When I had enough of her snarky remarks I told her she’s a jealous b**** and needs to grow up. I was sent to the principals office—YES IN an adult environment I got sent down to the principal or dean whatever you call it because she told on me. I was 18. Year 2010. It wasn’t long after that I was removed from the program because my grades were low, anyways. Next. However I did complete a different program in that school.

Working in an office building I was two minutes late coming back from my break and my supervisor at the time got an instant message from a worker stating I was past my 15 minutes because I was talking to a co-worker. My supervisor reached over to me and began to reprimand me and I wasn't having it. I knew exactly who it was, so, I stood up, marched to where she sat and said “You are nothing but a troublemaker. Why would you do that?” She didn’t say anything to me but her face turned bright red. Bet she never saw that coming. I am like Nancy Drew, I always figure everything out. I was 22, she was in her 40’s. Regardless I was the one who got in trouble which I accepted full responsibility for behaving in a way that shouldn't have been done but sometimes the rules need to be broken. Year 2014. I can't believe people act like they're in high school by tattling when they are grownups, especially ones half of my age. I wouldn't act like that to anyone.

When trolls began to attack me on blogs (not my blog), in comments and basically anywhere they could I was overwhelmed because I never experienced such non-stop 24/7 harassment on my looks, my career, my personal life and all the above. These people knew nothing about me yet assumed they did. It was a learning curve for me, though. I got even tougher skin because of it, in the end I won because I’m still doing my thing.

I think the scariest of all was in early 2019 when I visited my mom and we were at the store. A man and his wife were began to laugh. I assumed they were laughing at my mother and I bickering but it turned out to be far sinister. I began to get a weird vibe and told my mom we have to leave. As we went to the next store, they were there again, this time, they made it known they were laughing at me while I was picking up bottles of soda. I asked “What’s so funny? You guys were doing this in the last store?” Offended by me speaking up they got super defense. As I turned my back the man charged at me with his cart; my mom in the middle. He had pure evil in his eyes as he said, “You’re lucky I wouldn’t go to jail or you would be put into the hospital.” I didn’t back down to him. My mom was between us saying, “You won't dare touch him.” I stood face to face silent as could be, staring him in the eyes until he backed down. My only concern was getting my mom out of harms way due to her bad back and I didn’t want her hurt because if the man did hit me, my mom would have gotten involved. I never came face to face with an attempted hate crime until that day and I pray I don’t ever again.

A lot? Maybe not everyone but the dramatic people have.

But why?

Because we love to share, connect, be entertained and everything else that’s fun in the digital world but there’s a huge downside to all of that. We become trapped into this cycle if you aren’t careful. Don't fall into the peer pressures social media has created but if you enjoy it then by all means go for it.

Myspace was hitting the net when I was in middle school which means we all jumped on it without our parents’ approval. The big thing about that was I was able to explore my sexuality even further. I started to grow my hair similar to the style of Justin Bieber before he was who he was and began to form a look that was a bit preppy; bright polo shirts and tan pants. The internet allowed me to be myself but also kept people at distance so I felt safe to be who I am while talking to people I knew and random people who would add my account.

I enjoyed everything about Myspace: picking a song to keep my profile upbeat—Britney Spears would be on my playlist when you clicked on my profile many times—to having my wall decorated with all my favorite people; Kim Kardashian, The Girls Next Store and Sarah Michelle Gellar were to name the few. It was actually fun because it was like your very own blog where you could create a space expressing yourself and sharing what your current vibe is. You also connected with people from all over. Especially in the small town I grew up I didn't quite fit in I felt but having the ability to see a world outside of it made things a bit better.

Funny story real quick, I wasn't allowed to have a Myspace like many others. It was new and most parents weren't comfortable with having their kids on some social networking site and my mother found out because of course I would get caught...she took my blackberry away from me, my laptop so I couldn't take it with me when I left the house, she got rid of the internet for a few weeks and girl, she wasn't happy. At least I had a desktop computer so I was able to play The Sims and Nancy Drew! Ha-ha!

via GIPHY

Then other networking sites came into the picture: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and many, many, many others.

While all of that was great the downside (and maybe this is only me): I always felt the need to look perfect in every photo or if I didn't have a certain number of friends it would make me feel even more like an outcast. I clearly don't define worth in society by that anymore but I couldn’t have fun with it because I became trapped in a compassion mindset at a very young age and people I knew would comment on things that I liked in a mocking matter because I was a bit different.

If you are my age (27) or younger then you basically grew up on social media but also had a sense of freedom prior to the massive takeover of it—while some people tend to only showcase their highlight reel to brag or to give their little ego a boost—only the happy times and the good moments which is perfectly fine—people tend to forget there is so much that goes on behind closed doors and the amount of work that goes into those happy moments. That’s why you should never compare yourself to others or dislike someone for being successful or authentic; you have no idea the amount of struggle it took to get to that point in their life. You should be cheering them on if they're soaring high in the sky and reading about their journey they share. Taking anything you can and applying it to your life to make your own dreams a reality or most importantly, your happiness but again, don't let others define what happiness is to you. You can only decide what it truly means to be happy for yourself.

I’ve been very open about my life and I am an active user on social media--not by choice--but I don’t share everything because I am at the same time a private person. I’ve had comments for years coming at me that would say:

“You never leave your house.” (truth is I really don't carry my phone around with me outside of the house I keep it in my pocket. I get a headache due to not wearing my glasses when I'm out in public.)

“You don’t have a boyfriend." (even though we will be together 6 years this October.)

“You are lying about your career.” (I have nothing to say about that)

"You are this, you are that or whatever the case is." *insert middle finger*

The reality is, while I share my emotions very openly on social media--which as I have grown I am starting to think before I post--my travels, my home life, my boyfriend and other things I keep private to some extent for many reasons, my safety and peace. I do like to share moments to entertain others in photos, in selfies or quotes even whacky videos sometimes to make people laugh or to connect. One day I will share stuff about my life that people haven’t seen but at this current state it isn’t time—but guess what? Just because I choose not to share it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen and that I am someone who sits in my home all day because that isn’t the case at all. I am very open and honest with how I feel both good and bad, to me that's enough. You get a feel of the person I am through my words not my material life or my looks. I am a writer with a dynamic personality that people love or hate. Truthfully, I never intended to fall into the social media rabbit hole but it happened. No matter which way I turn I get deeper and deeper as I do the pressure increases. Nothing I can't handle though.

I often ask why people care about how many likes they have or even how many followers. Then judge people on that…I hope people realize they aren’t the Kardashians and no one is going to care about you as much as the world cares about them either if you love or hate them—believe me I am all for living your dreams but it comes with blood, sweat and tears. If gaining followers and judging if someone made something out of themselves or if you get less or more likes makes you better or less from that person due to that number is a priority in your life and mind, no offense its time to have a serious talk with yourself. Just because you don't have a certain amount it doesn't mean you aren't talented or loved. You need to have a reason for people to follow you, though, beauty only gets you so far and it takes a lot of work to get people to pay attention to what you are saying because everyone has a voice but have you ever asked what is your message and who are you trying to reach? Honestly I only had like 200 people following me when my poetry book came out in 2015 and hit #1 on amazon basically around the world. I had no idea this would happen because it happened so fast. What does that tell you? Don't let the drive to get more followers or likes be what is steering your life.

I’ve seen countless accounts buying followers which is so unfair to those of us who work our asses off to get someplace with our career and I’m not angry about it, just baffled, I’m just keeping it real. If you aren’t part of the anything with entertainment or public service your number count shouldn’t matter at all (or matter period in general but society thinks otherwise sometimes) yet people assume the number of followers you have will get you a one-way ticket to who knows OR it values your worth as a person or how much talent you have. Want a little secret…WRONG! For some that may be the case but the hard work or the talent you showcase will get you that ticket to happiness with whatever work you pursue because if you purse what sets your heart on fire none of that will matter. It will fill your heart up with something so meaningful.

You see the internet is a blessing and a scam. Also, people fail to look at the hard work and dedication someone does if they have a less stellar follower count which is soooooooo beyond annoying. While followers or likes help your career to a degree, like 15 percent. Talent and never giving up on yourself is what gets you to the finish line. Life should never be about fame or having adoring "fans." It needs to be about what sets your heart on fire and what good you will do with it plus who you can help along the way. It's about the person you are when you put down the phone and step away from the cameras, not the person you share with on your timeline. Even though being real online is important life has so much more to offer.

While scrolling on the internet you might see ads about people promoting courses that will help make you rich with their proven system but seriously the only thing you’re doing is helping their bank account while yours might still be suffering. Maybe that isn’t the case for everyone but I know a few people it happened to, I felt so bad. During a few classes I took one of the things I learned about these online gurus and these course sellers is that they used a method called: “One Step Ahead.”

What does that mean?

It means they are one step ahead of you, making you feel like they have all the answers to help make your one-way ticket to fame or growing your business to a success—again that might be the case for some I’m not knocking down anyone who has to make a living but I just hate the lying that these people do to make themselves look better from what they truly are. While online courses are VERY profitable for those who create them and I have bought a few of my own. I think only 2 of the 10 I bought helped me. I prefer buying a published book from someone who is in the real field for 30 dollars over someone who is selling a course for 150 because social media has given them the option to get one step ahead of you…just saying. I don't care if they have testimonies on their website or whatever the case, be cautious of who you trust on social media.

I admit I fell down the rabbit hole of social media but I had no choice because I am an entertainer and a writer. It is part of my job but I also have boundaries. I’ve shared so much of my life and my dreams very publicly since I was 19. At times I regret it...I really do but I was so excited and the benefits are worth it because I am able to do what I love, feel so empowered and hopefully show people anything is possible with life. People judge me every day because of it. People I use to know. People I know now. People all round. Every where I go I see the way they look at me or things they do with how they act. It's pretty crazy how much things have changed but oh well. I'm not going anywhere I'm staying right here.

The conclusion here is simple: just because someone doesn’t post something it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen or that person isn't real. It doesn’t mean they aren’t happy. We all have our reasons to share things and to keep things private. Live in the moment and not worry about taking the snap of what is going on so you can upload to those who follow you. I wish to see everyone living out their dreams but let me keep it real here just like everyone can’t be a doctor, everyone can’t be an entertainer or “famous” but social media has given an illusion that you can. There is SO much work and dedication that goes into this that if you are out buying followers, pretending to be someone you’re not or bragging about everything you’re doing or what you want to be doing you fail to understand that behind the social media highlight reel there is so much going on that some people couldn’t even handle. Never get jealous of those who are making it because the pressure is unreal. Be kind to each other and support each other NO MATTER WHO you are because everyone has a beautiful gift to share to the world in many places.

Live your best life. Be who you are. Follow your passion. Remember, just do it the right way by uplifting others you see doing it and then in return I am sure you will get that same uplift. Don't brag, don't get jealous, just be happy or work on your inner-self so you become content!

Stay Cute, xo

p.s I shared this on social media but wanted to share it here on my blog as well.

True story:
It’s hard to believe I was basically 15 when I started to slowly find my way into show business right after my 9th grade speech and drama teacher told me I wasn’t cutout for that atmosphere & she felt it best for me not to continue taking the class—which I did stop but ironically that summer I was casted in a play outside of school and was paid for my role. (16/17 I started blogging) I just suffered with terrible anxiety since I was super young that made me awkward plus weird and it prevented me from doing a lot but here I am! I was never a pretend “diva” it’s the path & my past God laid out for me that created it.
