I believe in my heart everyone is a superstar, but for me, my perception of it is mine, as everyone has theirs- Paul Travis Wanted to come visit my Gram to show her the edited version of my manuscript. When we left the room her cat, Fluffy, who loves me ended up loving my first novel!
I had a blast at this photo-shoot! I was reached out from a photographer whom is building up their pro-foilo and was offered a chance of a lifetime! So happy and grateful for the way they turned out! Each picture tells a story of it's own! I love how they put the multiples next to each other. Feel it really brings out more than what meets the eye! I hope you enjoy them! Love you! xo Enjoy this new poem inspired from before and after my amazing man, my recently passed two year anniversary with him, my favorite fairytale and Cleopatra! xo
In this piece I share my true perception on life and how I wish for you all to see the true beauty it is. Life is a gift and it's a never ending one. I hope you enjoy reading this and may you be blessed with love, joy and happiness!
Love, Paul xx A more present day take on my past, future and present! I really couldn't wait to share this piece with you all! It's one dear to my heart and I am glad now is the time! Enjoy, xx
Anyone interested in knowing about a few projects I can share some info! With my novel going into final edit before I meet with agents the length was 65,000 words: anything between 55K to 70K is your average 300+ pages! Also, I have 5 agents that I would like to meet with! Today, I sent the authors note for my memoir (this won't be out for a little while) and I got great feedback: "Right from the heart, and real! I love it!" This is what happens when you're suppose to be writing but get distracted by everything! Thank God I'm ahead of deadlines! Courage: the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear; bravery. With much opinions being thrown around about courage, and heroic deeds I have to take the time to write this. Recently, Caitlyn Jenner is the center of an amazing honor, which I think she greatly deserves. Why? For many reasons. You have two sides here ones who criticize, and the other applauding what she has accomplished. It leaves many at thought with what is a hero?
I can tell you bringing somebody down for their courage isn't an act of a hero, so if you're one of them realize you aren't on the playing field to open your mouth. With every great act of bravery comes those people who speak negativity. The enemy hides behind something because they know the truth will ruin everything they once believed and take away the control so many want. Maybe Caitlyn isn't your hero, but for many people she will be/is. Such as Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, and many others who have changed the course of history to better the world we live in. Yes, Miss. Jenner is just like them. This isn't about you, or what you feel, it is about the people who will benefit from it. Have some respect for those who need to hear the voice that is rising up to finally help the cries that have been heard for generations. Obviously you couldn't do anything for the lost souls, but now help is here. God has taken part to help them. Don't get in the way. For those ladies who say, "She isn't a women," realize you're just jealous, and for those men who say, "That's disgusting," realize she don't want you so mind your business. A hero comes in many forms whether it be a mother, a father, grandparents, a nurse, a teacher, a doctor, a writer, a musician, an artist, a boyfriend, girlfriend, a transgender, an actress or any person who takes the courage to help not only themselves but anyone in need. Someone that shares their voice, and sets a great example. Someone who sees a problem and realizes it is up to them to save it. Someone who shares their experiences by being who they are! Clearly, we're all hero's in one way or another...right? So, what is the problem? It's something to do with you, not her, me or anyone. Let me share something, in my life all the reasons that made me different, are the very reason why I am who I am. Some words people said about me that could have hurt but didn't were he's bossy, overpowering, overwhelming, he needs to much control, he's annoying, but in reality those mean, he knows what he wants, he gets the job done, he doesn't give up, he tries to share a better road because he knows how it is to walk alone and he cares too much about who he loves or opens his heart to anyone in need. All those reasons that some people tried to make me feel beneath them are how I can run my rising brand. I am grateful that God has given me those skills to help me achieve my dreams. I am grateful to God everyday. A hero is someone who takes a stand for who they are no matter what anyone will say, because those who have the right perspective will see the greatness that is on the horizon. If you want to find the hero within you try finding your purpose, instead of attacking others for doing theirs For me, it is writing, performing and just allowing my creative energies to share things I know, have learned and will learn. Big things are coming for me personally and I can't wait to share, but I also can't wait to keep growing with this beautiful world. Thank you, and enjoy life! Love, Paul I wanted to share a piece of poetry that I wrote for my Mom as a present. Today, July 4th is her birthday. She is a women of much strength, compassion, bravery, kindness and can be feisty. There is no other women like her and none could ever compare. From the way she cheers me on as I keep turning my dreams into reality and even how she had open arms to my boyfriend. Family is important to me and to see how she reached out to grow her very own relationship with the man I love just showed more beauty to the person she is. America celebrates independence on this beautiful day, which is something my Mom taught me about myself...my own independence. To be proud of who I am, to stand up for what I believe, to never give up and to be free so I can be happy. Her guidance has brought me to this point in my life and I look forward to where it will take me.
Mom, Happy Birthday! Thanks for everything and I love you. I finally have the time to sit and write this. The past 5 years, especially the last few months has been such a mind-blowing experience. I am so grateful for everyone who participated; my team, my fans, family, friends, my amazing boyfriend and God. Thank you for believing in my talent and my journey. Every dreamer has a dream with a heart to make it a reality. In my career I had many rises, stops, falls and now officially I'm on the rise. Along the way I faced positive and negative responses, but blessed with more positive. Not only did my childhood dream shape me and give me the fight to live life to its best...it's the purpose behind my existence. I made contact with people who joked about me as a person and criticized the man behind my glasses. I was used to help people grow in certain business aspects. Accused of being a liar when I openly shared my journey and tossed around as a fool, yet I proved all of them wrong. I made it through because I am fighter who's stubbornness gives me the will to keep on going and of course I think with my heart. I also met some fantastic people, instead of using we helped one another and became a team. Behind all the negativity love awaits a positive heart. The success of my first poetry book Who I Am: Poetry really showed me not only do I have amazing fans who believe in who I am, but support my career. We are in this together. The novel series, it will go mainstream and I won't settle for anything less. I like what I want and I will get exactly that. There's no question behind it. So, no need to worry, just keep being patient. The wait will be worth it. Thank you all again for making Who I Am: Poetry a bestseller, having my name buzz on the internet, and trend. I send the utmost gratitude to each and everyone of you. May your life keep being blessed like you have/are blessing mine. Like my about me states, "This is my prologue because I only just begun." Love, Paul xx Every dreamer has a dream with a heart to make it a reality-Paul Bravo Lifetime! Part 1 of The Secret Life Of Marilyn Monroe was captivating, it pulled on your heartstrings and Kelli Garner was the best Marilyn Monroe I have ever seen. Most importantly it really shared the truth of Marilyn Monroe by giving you a whole new insight to one of the greatest icons that has ever lived in the public eye. The mini-series is based off of the best selling biography The Secret Life Of Marilyn Monroe by Author J.Randy Taraborrelli. (which is a great read) The title starts off with Marilyn Monroe looking for the perfect outfit as Doctor Alan DeShields played by Jack Noseworthy is coming over to try and help her. Marilyn confides in him and opens up about her life. Similar to the book written by George Barris " Marilyn: Her Life in Her Own Words: Marilyn Monroe's Revealing Last Words" . Part 1 covers her sick Mother Gladys, her foster home with Ida plus Grace, whom is Gladys best friend and did her best to give Marilyn what she needed. You go through her beginning as she strives to become a well-known actress by taking gigs to make money in the starving business until she would then hit her big break. Because if your in the movies you'll be famous. If you're famous everyone will love you- Marilyn Monroe Depression is the ultimate betrayal to ones happiness. According to world health organization more than 350 million people of all ages endure the hopelessness it brings, a lost of interest in daily actives, low tolerance to situations, and even reckless behavior. Studies show more women than men suffer and it can be a fatal ending to someone if it goes untreated....

This ride has been one amazing one! Stay free and fabulous! -Paul xx Watched the Bruce Jenner interview last night and it's evident I love the Kardashians I've been keeping up with them since middle school. They made an impact on this world even if some beg to differ. Last night I feel Bruce started a movement and became a voice for all of those people who suffer such as he did. I personally learned a lot from watching that. Rooting for his transition to be safe and successful. Can't wait for her big reveal! Wishing you all a Happy Fabulous Easter. I want to take the time to announce a special campaign: As writers it’s very easy to say we have a full agenda each day…right? Either we are crafting, promoting, researching, advancing ourselves by taking classes, but we can’t forget the things that need to be done in our daily lives outside of work. I have seen a few of my writing friends struggle with keeping on task, committing and I could see the guilt in their eyes. One mustn’t worry because I may have the words you need to help you organize your day and staying on task to complete your amazing masterpiece. The Three Must Haves In order to give your best self you must be sure that you have three things to take your worries, fears and distractions-I know sometimes it can be challenging, but it’s for your benefit. My inspiration was all over the place! Why? Because one day I thought I had my first taste of writers block, and you can ask Jon (my boyfriend) how dramatic I became! I was devastated. I felt empty. Very horrifying... Then I was sent in many different directions. That's what I'm use too! Phew... I'm really enjoying re-reading my first novel. It's an amazing experience. Enchancing the dialogue is really cool and adding so much more to the book! I'm pumped!! I've been talking to the people who are helping with my podcast show to pick a date to start the full recording of season one! We are looking at Apirl... I started to write a new song, but I'm not interested in music right now so who knows what this will be. Either a poem, or I'll put it in the future album tracks folder. My new novel I am working on is coming along great! Currently trying to figure out where to take the scene- it can go in so many different directions. I can see the end result of each way, but I have to find the one that would fit the message the best! My article writing is something else. It's definitely a challenge, but I am enjoying it! My first one was released this week! So excited! I unfortunately didn't get the other one published. I pitched two more, one got turned down and the other was a go. So I'm researching for that now!! I have the beginning drafted out. Working on the body of it. Like always my boyfriend, and family gave me a great celebration for my 23rd birthday last week. Caught up on a few TV shows: The Following, and Pretty Little Liars. I spent quality time with my man, like always-I just love him so much. As for now that is all I can think of. Let's see what next weeks adventures has in store! -Paul My site has been revamped!
