They bring out the pretty, because they’re pretty too. Penned in the Glow of the MirrorBehind every photo, there was a group of friends who saw more. They didn’t need the full story to hold space for me. These aren’t just friendships—they’re the reason I made it out of the darkest places. They saw me breaking and held on, even when I couldn’t hold myself. When I didn’t respond to birthday messages—my mom told them where I was in March of 2022. The moment I was released from getting help, they were one of the first to show up. They remind me what it means to just be a boy from Pennsylvania—a boy whose world has always felt misunderstood, but somehow, they’ve always understood me. Who are we without the ones who’ve seen every version of us—and stayed? The ones who can laugh at your most outrageous moments, but never judge you for them. And even in your most scandalous chapters, they hold you accountable. They tell you the truth—even when it’s hard. No matter what life throws your way, you’ll be okay—because you have each other. In this lifetime, and every other. When I’m with them, I don’t worry about being too much. They love the drama, the depth, the diva in me. They don’t try to tone me down—they turn the spotlight up.
