In this edition of Video Game Review I am going to be sharing my thoughts on one of my favorite video game series, Harvest Moon. *The picture above was taken from google images. I hold no ownership. If owner would like to have it removed, please feel free to contact me.* My introduction to the Harvest Moon series was when I attended middle school. I was huge into video games, spending hours and hours playing during my summer days. It was one night I went shopping with my parents at a local K-Mart, I passed the GameCube version of the game A Wonderful Life. What caught my eye was the cover ( I thought I was able to play a girl main character. Still to this day I prefer games with a female lead role) back to point, I ended up getting the game that night. A few months of playing I was back at K-Mart and I walked past the display case, inside, up on the very top was Another Wonderful Life, when my eyes looked into the glass it was like the angels were singing and a golden glow shined around it. The price was 30 dollars. Now being a kid in middle school without a job 30 dollars was a lot, I went to my Mom and she said no. The world around me sunk because the game I have been playing for the last few months finally released a female main character (A Wonderful Life was in a bargin bin for 15 dollars the day I got it) but being who I am, no just wasn't an option. I let my sassy side show as we finished shopping but as soon as we got home I found all the money I had laying around, made a few phones calls to aunts, uncles, grandma and papa also I asked my mom for money, by the end of the night I had the right amount. The next day I faked sick and didn't go to school. I had my Papa and Grandma take me down to go get it (which my mom wasn't too happy about) but if she understood the agony of not having it she would of had a different look about it. I bought it, got back to my grandparents house, put the game into the GameCube and I was the happiest kid in the world.

Top Three Favorite Titles:
If your asking yourself, why do I love this series? It's because of the gameplay. It's low-key, relaxing and you can enjoy the game as a whole. There is always something to do; taken care of your animals or crops, falling in love, rasing a family, festivities and the list continues. It's a fun family game or even if you want to relax and curl up under a cozy blanket on a winter night. The most impressive thing of this series, I didn't notice it fully when I was younger but now that I'm in my early twenties, I realize the moral it tries to teach. Read in-between the lines and you will see for yourself exactly what it's trying to tell you. I give this game 10/10 for giving us freedom of choices, because I like to do my own thing. The teaching of responsibility by having to take care of your plants and animals. The patience you must use to complete a title. The fun storylines and opening up a world of peace. And of course the moral hidden between the lines. If you haven't and have a system that Harvest Moon is on, I highly recommend you pick it up for yourself.
