This is the first full-length piece of poetry I've written in such a longtime and I'm very excited to share it with you all. Inspired from a transformation I've undergone emotionally, physically and spiritually, but with my creative twist of course. It's my favorite poem I've ever written and most empowering. In my opinion it's my best as well! I hope the wait was worth it, because I know some of you have been itching for a new one. I now present you with 'Queen.' Enjoy!
Finally realize nothing can stop me...I’m a Queen.- Paul Travis
You were everything then
You turned Empty words spoken clear Hit hard Now it’s all darkness Between us Can you hear screams tormenting the silence Revenge whispers her vengeance against them Trying to steal my masterpiece And get away with it Silly you, what were you thinking? My lips kissed the crown Glowing royalty Those who tried to defeat me We’re doing it my way now Take your bow I’m everything you thought I wouldn’t be I’m a Queen Once upon a time life was cold then I transformed Written words I spoke loud Offended the rules Now your society understands I lead my own Can you hear peace igniting the silence A fighter born to conquer Slaying those demons my huntsmen remain Couldn’t put me beneath What you wanted me to be My lips kissed the crown Glowing royalty Those who tried to defeat me We’re doing it my way now Take your bow I’m everything you thought I wouldn’t be I’m a Queen I’ve read, felt, heard and witnessed All you’ve done and Time keeps spinning The world never stops breaking People can keep pretending To be something they’re not Filling their guilt, wishing for more Ego boosting their doubts It’s okay Because I’m better than you’ll ever be Heartbreak made me sane And there’s nothing left to say My lips kissed the crown Glowing royalty Those who tried to defeat me We’re doing it my way now Take your bow I’m everything you thought I wouldn’t be I’m a Queen I’ll rule beyond eternity Just wait and see what I’m made of Just what I’m capable of Will blow your mind a full 360 Won’t know what hit you I’ll keep you in suspense A mystery awaits The world I’ve yet to conquer But have the power needed Taking a seat in this throne Finally realize nothing can stop me... You are one powerful person and I wouldn't want to mess with you. Your talent is going to keep taking you so far on a journey that is yours and everyone if they haven't already seen what you're made off, will learn quickly. Saw you're working on a novel series. What goes on in your mind, heart and soul is a gift from the universe. You are connected to a higher source of power that so many can't even reach.
