10/28/2014

Flawless and beautiful are only two of the many amazing words that could describe Taylor's new album, 1989, which was released today. From the start to end you don't want to skip a single track. Taylor always tops her last efforts, not many artist can do that. It makes Taylor even more special in our hearts and why she is needed in our music industry!

With all the tracks being single worthy anything can do this era. Her lyrics are so true, like she took them from our very own thoughts and hearts. It makes her so relatable. Well done Taylor! I am so proud to say I have had every single album of yours since the start of your career, on the very day they came out!

My Top Five Favorite Tracks:
1. Blank Space
2. Style
3. Out Of The Woods
4. I Wish You Would
5. Clean

I am hoping for a re-release with extra songs! This is such a tease for what's to come within the next few years of her career. Until then I am going to be blasting this record for months to come. I love you Taylor, thank you for being so honest and true to us! It makes you an idol!

10/10

Video Game Review

10/20/2014

In this edition of Video Game Review I am going to be sharing my thoughts on one of my favorite video game series, Harvest Moon.

My introduction to the Harvest Moon series was when I attended middle school. I was huge into video games, spending hours and hours playing during my summer days. It was one night I went shopping with my parents at a local K-Mart, I passed the GameCube version of the game A Wonderful Life. What caught my eye was the cover ( I thought I was able to play a girl main character. Still to this day I prefer games with a female lead role) back to point, I ended up getting the game that night. A few months of playing I was back at K-Mart and I walked past the display case, inside, up on the very top was Another Wonderful Life, when my eyes looked into the glass it was like the angels were singing and a golden glow shined around it. The price was 30 dollars. Now being a kid in middle school without a job 30 dollars was a lot, I went to my Mom and she said no. The world around me sunk because the game I have been playing for the last few months finally released a female main character (A Wonderful Life was in a bargin bin for 15 dollars the day I got it) but being who I am, no just wasn't an option. I let my sassy side show as we finished shopping but as soon as we got home I found all the money I had laying around, made a few phones calls to aunts, uncles, grandma and papa also I asked my mom for money, by the end of the night I had the right amount. The next day I faked sick and didn't go to school. I had my Papa and Grandma take me down to go get it (which my mom wasn't too happy about) but if she understood the agony of not having it she would of had a different look about it. I bought it, got back to my grandparents house, put the game into the GameCube and I was the happiest kid in the world.

Top Three Favorite Titles:

  1. Magical Melody
  2. Animal Parade
  3. A New Beginning

If your asking yourself, why do I love this series? It's because of the gameplay. It's low-key, relaxing and you can enjoy the game as a whole. There is always something to do; taken care of your animals or crops, falling in love, rasing a family, festivities and the list continues. It's a fun family game or even if you want to relax and curl up under a cozy blanket on a winter night. The most impressive thing of this series, I didn't notice it fully when I was younger but now that I'm in my early twenties, I realize the moral it tries to teach. Read in-between the lines and you will see for yourself exactly what it's trying to tell you.

I give this game 10/10 for giving us freedom of choices, because I like to do my own thing. The teaching of responsibility by having to take care of your plants and animals. The patience you must use to complete a title. The fun storylines and opening up a world of peace. And of course the moral hidden between the lines. If you haven't and have a system that Harvest Moon is on, I highly recommend you pick it up for yourself. If you would like to share your thoughts, please do or you can follow my twitter and chat there. Have a blessed day.

What A Man!

10/18/2014

A sweet story about my boyfriend that I wanted to share:

So the other day I was looking for something that I needed to buy on the internet. It was a book for a project I am working on. Jc, my boyfriend, was sitting next to me while I was searching on my laptop. Glancing over he said with a cute tone, “No. Don’t buy anything.”

"Why?" I said with a laugh.

"Oh you know how to take the surprise out of surprise. I saw this in your browser the other day and I ordered it. It should be here soon," he said showing me a picture of what I was looking at.

It came today. I am so thankful for finding someone who supports me and my dream! What a man! Never give up on finding your one true love because one day your life will change forever! Hope you all have an amazing afternoon!

An Anthem

10/18/2014

I am sure by now you heard Shake It Off by the only, the only, Taylor Swift. I think we all agree it's amazing!

Picture
Taylor sang, "I never miss a beat, I'm lightning on my feet, and that's what they don't see."

By that time we were all shaking, dying of a panic attack over how this song was music to our ears and when she sang those lyrics we said, "You already know." (Screaming on the inside because she knows us so well)

A sound very different from the Taylor we heard before, but it was a fantastic change. It shows so much growth from when she first graced us with her talent. This song speaks truth. It's infectious beat makes us shake it off. Her voice, simply beautiful. Her VMA performance was outstanding. The single debuted at number one.  I am looking forward to "1989" which will be released in October. All that's left to say is, it's an anthem!

Until next time, I'm just going to shake it off~Have a wonderful night!
