Interview Part 1:

12/1/2014

Life is your journey, make it an adventure! - Paul

Below is an interview done by my friend. I appreciate her curiosity in what I am doing, and wanted to share this with you all! Enjoy!

Welcome all.

Today I'm very lucky to be interviewing, Paul Travis. Thank you for agreeing to do this interview. Tell us a little bit about why you are so driven to do this as a career?
  1. No, thank you for being curious in my passion. I feel honored to be sharing this experience with you, but I always had my sights set on the show business platform. I love the arts, admire the people within that profession, what they do for the public and have since I can remember. It's something you just can't take away from me, so many people tried, and not one succeeded because it's who I am.

You've acted, recorded music, write and your list goes on, what made you choose writing over all of the others?
  1. It chose me. God has a funny way of showing people what they are meant to do. When I left the music & acting behind to focus solely on my writing so much joy came into my life. I fell in love, found amazing people to work with, got back my own happiness, learned so much about life and most importantly I found my truth.

Do you ever see yourself getting back into those other professions that you did previsously?
  1. I am an unpredictable force. Nothing is taken off the table, so perhaps.

Did you evolve creatively since you began?
  1. That is one the greatest parts within this journey, you always grow every single day! Life is your journey, make it an adventure by allowing yourself growth!

The launch to PaulTravis.Net was a success, how does that make you feel?
  1. Words can't even describe the joy felt. I am truly so grateful to all participating, and taken part of this journey with me.

How were you like in school?
  1. I was a bit socially awkward, which may come to a shocker for some reading this. I kept to myself. I usually was writing, or learning lines for a script I was reviewing for a show I had coming up that summer. I slacked with my studies because of all the stuff I had going on outside of school, but thank god I pulled it off somehow. To be honest, I am beyond grateful those days are behind me. They were torture.

What advice would you give to your younger self?
  1. I would tell him to not cry so much, and the darkness felt in his heart won't last forever.

Which famous person, living or dead would you like to meet and why?
  1. Marilyn Monroe. For as long as I can remember I always had some type of connection to her, and I would like to know what it is.
